BP #9 - Language Stories (DIRECTIONS)

For this blog post, you will work in your groups formed today.

1.  Please go to the 2 links to student blogs assigned to your group and read their posts. The students are writing their “Language Story."  Their language story can be about
(a) their relationship to language (how they use it, where they use it, what languages they know and use)
(b) their theories about language. (What is language? Is it different for animals than humans? How so?)
or
(c) their story from birth to present  (how they learned their first then second language; orthe languages that surround them in life)

2. Write a reponse (as a "comment") to the two students' blog posts and do the following:
(a) telling your own language stories; or
(b) talk about how you have learned/practiced language during ESL 097 and how it has impacted their own language story; or
(c) what will you need to do to “improve” your English language skills? How does learning English for formal school activities (reading/writing/discussion) differ from learning English outside of school (e.g., work, friends, New York City)?
