Festivals are common to all societies and cultures. With the change of social and economic structures, the nature of festivals also changes. But some festivals are so deeply rooted in the social organism that they continue to entertain generation to generation. Some of the festivals bear the mark of the community and nationality; some have the stamp of religion. The festivals which got started in the primitive society centering on the prayer for food, have now been filled with various colors and varieties. In the Bangladesh especially in the spring time I had been celebrate Bengali New Year and some religion rituals with my family and friends. When I celebrated the Bengali New Year with my family I thought God gift me a good family for celebrate the any holidays or rituals.

Like the history of Bengal, the celebration of Pohela Boisakh 'also has a long history. The references to New Year celebrations can be found at the time of Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar. The schedule was designed by the astrologer at the court of Akbar, Aamir Fatehullah Siraji, was named San Fasli. Thus, a new calendar that both the existing lunar calendar Bengali calendar combined solar ushered in the new agricultural year in March, 1584. He later became popular as Bônggabdo. Thus, especially for the timing of Bengal was introduced Pohela Boishakh.  According to the policy of Akbar all the rights that were established during the last day of Choitro and so the next day was marked as the first day of Bengali New Year or 'Boisakh Pohela. In the Bengali language 'Pohela "refers to the first and' Boisakh 'becomes the first month of Bengali calendar, so first Boisakh day is celebrated as the Bengali New Year's Day. The day continued to be celebrated in East Pakistan as a symbol of Bengali culture. After 1972 it became a national festival.

The Bengali calendar is closely connected with the Vedic Hindu solar calendar based on the Surya Siddhanta. This day every hindu family or mainly the business community celebrate the Bengali New Year in different ways. Traders and shopkeepers open ‘Kalkhata’ new books of account. The businessmen complete their accounts of the previous year on the eve of the New Year’s Day. On this day, the customers pay some advance and the businessmen treat them with sweetmeats.
