The Brown v. Board of Education court case

In the 1950s, schools were segregated by race.It was called race-based segregation of children into"separate but equal" in public schools. So that Brown and her sister had to walk a long way to get the school each day, even though, there was a school near by their house, it was opened only for Whites. Therefore, they challenged to take their case to the court to get the satisfied answer. However the federal district court denied their requirements. They believed that the equality of treatment in public schools was judged by when the races were provided adequately equal facilities, no matter whether it was separated or not.But the Browns appealed their case to the supreme court again. They stated that it was unconstitutional accorded by equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Finally, they succeed in this case.
Separating colored children in public schools just because of their races a feeling of inferiority may affect them, even in their rest of lives. Especially it may lead to severe harm to their mental development, though they are not physically matured. The government has responsibilities to provide good educational environment for our upbringings.Let's suppose, what you may do if you feel your child is being denied the right to get the opportunity of equal education.

As a parent at that period, they might got the simple answer that they had expected. However, the more importantly, it was symbolized the end of segregation in public schools in United States.
