                                                             EASTER

In Russia, Easter is one of the most popular holidays.In 2012 we are celebrating Orthodox Easter on April 15. This holiday had come to us from Byzantium with the baptism in the 10th century.Christos gave the people freedom from slave of sin and death.Since then in Russia the people managed to celebrate Easter day..

Many houses, the churches, the cities are decorating outside and inside . The front of the houses the people put vases with flowers, usually white color, as well as the people dress up nice, gorgeous and beautyful. All trees have a flowers and  green lives. Also, the people preparing the traditional Easter kulich, cheese bread and color eggs. Egg is symbol of Easter, whish for Christans means new life and rebirth. Saturday, the church doing every 3 hours "Blessing of paschal baskets".Privite confession start at 10.30 pm until midnight. For all this time we hear the Bells, the singing, the preaching and in this way we can understand the service that our Lord is give us..It news, happiness for everybody.. You can see sunshinein the eyes of the people.
Old and young people, children and adult. kiss each other three times.. The youngers say the words "Christ in Risen" the older responded to them "Thuly he is Risen".
The Easter day we go visit our family, friends, especially seniors and we say to them more happiness, love and miracle in the world..

We believe that the son was invarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man that he might restore all people and all of creation to himself..Also we believe that it is our mission, to bring the ;GOOD NEWS" the "Gospel".We seek to do this in all aspects of our life.
