The history of Harlem was between 1920 to 1940.It was a famous music place for jazz and blues . Many famous people came out from their,like Michael Jackson and James Brown ...... etc. It was a unique history. Harlem was haven many citizen people of European . The name of Harlem came from city of Holland , and British renamed it yo Harlem. Harlem is in Manhattan that the area became very famous place.Most people in their were black people from African American . Harlem was a powerhouse for the African American people, but in 1950 harlem had stock market crash, Malcolm x who helped to move the civil right bill through Washington.

In 1989 David N. was elected as the first black mayor of new york city . after that he started to build building , started businesses and the crime rates dropped down.now , Harlem is the most famous place
