Harlem is part of NYC.. Harlem was independent of NYC  until 1873.. Harlem has been a lot  of american-african residention, culture, bussness art, music and other..Harlem has three parts of NYC,:West, Central, East.. NY to Harlem was incorporeted in 1831..   Late, 19 century lot of people moved Jews, Italian and other groups. In the 1920 and 1930 music, art, theather and literature were made in Harlem.        .In the late 20 century has led renewal Harlem.
